I remember when I first got this in my house.
I played it for hour upon end.
The paddles where pots.

Feel free to download.
If anyone could think of a way to improve this please let me know.
I've asked around for help with some new graphics but I did not receive any replies.
Any angle is possible and velocities can crank.

Thanks

#1
the graphics look great scottie. the glowy look is awesome.

if you wanted to have a little more action you could make it like crashball in crash bash.

you wouldnt need to do it in 3D, just simple top down ISO would work.
i did some assets for a clone a while back;

ScottieB

Wow!  That looks kewl.
What do you mean isometric engine?
Would you be will to share your assets?
I am also working on a breakout clone as well.
It followed pong.

ScottieB

It's not done yet but you can have a peek.
Pong lead me to this.
It seems to be the game that followed it.
BlinkOk - You have help me in the past on my 3D-Engine.
Care to help on some of the graphics for these two games?
I know they could be a whole lot more if I just could get alittle help.

Thanks

QuoteWhat do you mean isometric engine?
it just means that  the vertical speed of objects is slightly slower than the horizontal speed (not a big deal. i'm sure kevin could help you out with the math)
QuoteWould you be will to share your assets?
sure no problem. why don't you adjust your game so there is a player on all sides (top/bottom/left right). remember that there are circles in the corners that will bounce the ball so you'll have to figure in collision for them. then i can adjust the assets to suit.

for now how about we concentrate on the pong one

ScottieB

Sorry, I didn't have much time today.
I was out with some friends and did a lot of errands.

I did figure out something though.
I am messing around with some new formulas to make the reaction between the
ball and the paddles better.

I like your pong idea but I'm kind of concentrating on working out some new physics right now.
So anything like maybe some paddles, balls and bricks would be good enough for now.
Though I care about the look. (eye candy)  I'm really trying to work out as many bugs as I can and
get gameplay great.

The work you show above is super!  It's just I don't want to redesign the programs just get or make a
Pong 2014 would be good enough for me. With things like backgrounds, paddles, ball and bricks.
Simple graphics but put together nicely is what I hope for.
So if you can help there awesome!

Thanks

i think if you're going with the basic games then you should be able to find plenty of cool graphics out there on the net mate.
good luck!
