Well, win8 works fine, but many programs not support new win and works slow, and some programs and drivers waits microsoft's verification and too not available on Win8 =[
New multicore works faster than win7 does.

Why did they have to bring out win7 or 8 anyway?

Win xp pro 64bit I think was the best. Using window's blinds snow leapord.

But when you buy microsoft products. You can guarantee, that when they bring out another. You'll get no support for your older products that worked! And that they'll do anything possible to stop you from using your old stuff. Thats Hundreds of pounds worth of software up the swany! Due to no backwards compatabilty ???


Its a shame MAC's operating system dosen't run .EXE's.

I don't know what all the fuss is about, really? With all this touch screen tablet stuff anyway's. Unless your browsing the internet on the move? Oh what was the laptop for?
Because a mobile phone with internet is pretty useless!
I mean how can you read it? Hmm. Checking Emails? But then this is a Text message?

WINDOWS 7 shite.
WINDOWS 8 shite.
A phone should be a Phone.
A camera should be a Camera.

And a tablet should display photos on the sideboard? Or just be an Ebook!

Mind you it did take me years to get a CD player and a DVD player?  ::) Now where did i put my 8 TRACK player?

I much prefer Windows 7 to Windows XP. Windows XP was too hold-your-hand until you turned everything off; Windows 7 pretty much lets you do what you want in the way you want. And it looks nicer too with Aero. I did like XP, but Win7 is smoother, faster and a better looker.

I've just got a Windows8 laptop for my son for Christmas - unfortunately you can't get Win7 laptops here anymore. It's going to take a little while to get used to it...

I use Win7 and I am satisfied with it, but
in my opinion Windows XP was the best one.

I got a HP Envy m6 1205dx with win 8 2 weeks ago.  Before getting use to it I had to do a recovery backup. It says use several DVDs or a 32gb stick. I bought a USB2 32gb stick.  It said it will take about 30 min to backup. It took 2 and a half hours. They did not say to use a USB 3 stick. So I you make a recovery backup. Use a USB3 stick or wait 2 1/2 hours with a USB2 stick.
Win 8 can be OK after you learn to avoid the new things they put in the way. I am having trouble with copy(text) and paste most of the time. I still prefer Win 7 but my older Laptop LCD screen is dying and I had to move on.
