Thanks for the link :)  I really like the first two. Both have great graphics and very playable. I'll look at some more later.

Yeah, been picking my way through them also.

There is a summer contest brewing over at Retro Remakes. It's a way off yet, but worth keeping an eye on.

It's not just a sommer contest - it is the contest of the year  :D

They did their remakes contest two times in the past and promised to never do it again - luckily they got a new admin (TCK, The Caffeine Kid) who is starting the contest again (he already seems to have got some nice prizes in).
If it doesn't collide with my vacation, the theme is not too bad and the rules are family friendly (means I can finish it with a few hours a week) I'm certainly giving it a try.
Though chances for a prize are not as good as in the PB retro remake competition  :(
The Retro Remakes site has tons of cool remakers who can do incredible things with GameMaker, MMF, Blitz and DB and the like.
Not to forget Ian Price who is an active member in the forums! BTW: Ian, pretty quiet lately, hm?

Cheers,
Tommy

BlinkOk

As I'm a MOD over at RR, I know exactly what's going on, however I can't say anything until the competition starts. Needless to say, I will let this forum know exactly what is happening when it does all kick off :)

A new competition has also just started over Caiman Free Games - http://www.caimen.be/forum/   The comp revolves around packing/packaging due to the sponsor being a packaging machine manufacturer. Top prize is US$300 with lots of other monetary prizes too.

And the great thing about it is that it lasts for 6 months - plenty of time to knock something special up in PB.
I came. I saw. I played some Nintendo.
