Because I can't search for TCP or UDP and can only find one post for something called k-lib or something...

Does playbasic include networking functionality?  TPC/IP or UDP?

Had my finger on the purchase button and though "SURELY it does" but can't find anything about it.  Definitely not going to even entertain the idea of purchasing it without networking functions.

There are no TCP / UDP command sets in PlayBasic yet. Even though it will come at some point in the nearer future, there's no definite ETA for it at the moment.

As Empty mentioned, PB doesn't include networking at this time.

However the K-Lib library provides a 3rd party Networking support now.   Although it is shareware, you can use it freely in freeware programs (but you'd better double check the license just to be 100% sure).  But it's certainly worth having a look at.

Heya,

Just saw this post and wanted to point out that, yes, freeware apps do not need to register K-NetLib. If you plan on going commercial with any of your applications, or use any component of K-NetLib that directly/indirectly makes you money...then you'd need to register.

But we've made the price really low and since it covers any commercial apps that you develop, not just one, and it's royalty free...well, it's a pretty good deal. :D
