UNICODE in PlayBasic

Hello everyone.
Can anyone tell me if there is in "Play basic" ability to use unicode? Without this, a simple task, write "Привет мир" ("Hello world" in russian) with arbitrary font turning into a puzzle.
And if the answer is "no", whether this will be an opportunity in the future? In PlayBasicFX for example?

Strings are only 8bit in PB, so to handle anything outside of that you'd have to roll your own solution.
