Kevin, maybe you can help me understand something :

I was never a Duke Nukem fan. I was always a Doom fan. Sans strippers, crude humor, etc, what was the deal? What I'm asking is -- What significance does Duke Nukem have over Doom in FPS history?

well, hmm, i'm a doom fan too but you have to admit that nukem has always been fun.  since when has history ever stopped you from playing a fun game?  never.  yes, the pixelated nudity and crude humor were definetly different for the time (including the generous amount of gore that doom was made of) but if you are so opposed to the lack of morality that game offers than just don't bother with it.

You misunderstand me. I //do// study the history of games. :) -- hartnell

Duke 3D from a tech point of view is somewhere between Doom & Quake.
