From what I am gathering there is no built in networking library in Play Basic.  I found a reference to K-NetLib on these forums but the Chromatik website doesn't seem to have the Play Basic files available, only source code.

Is there another way to get K-Netlib?

Is there another networking / multiplayer library available for Play Basic?

Can you access windows API functions similar to VB in order to program your own networiking functions?

I am very interested in play basic but having networking functions is pretty essential for my uses.

hmmm... did you fling a look already on that?

Yes I did, go follow the link in that post and there is no download.

Looks like K-NetLib can be found there now.

Sorry about the double post, but I thought this might be relevant.

hmmm... ok I didn't know that... more at krylar didn't come around already eternally...

but regardless, you find the new K-NetLib dll (v4.0.2)  behind following Link1 or Link2 (you must unpack the downloaded file)

Question: Does Kevins Wrapper Version 0.02 function?

P.S.: If you have installed the latest full-version-update (1.63m) of PB then I think you will find the k-netlib wrapper file in the slib folder (maybe)

Both of those files are broken.  I've downloaded them several times and I cannot extract anything from them.  I've tried with winzip, winrar, and windows explorer.

I just tried extracting both files and encountered no problems with the operation. Maybe the files did not completely download for you? Check the expected download size versus the size of the files you have, if they're smaller try downloading it again.

I think the .dll file is located in 'KNL_402_Sources/bin' once it has been decompressed.

If you are still having trouble unpacking it I suggest contacting the admin on the K-NetLib forum.

If I've read the instructions right all you need is the 'K-NetLib.dll' V4.0.2.0?
I've attached the K-NetLib.dll file from KNL_402_Sources.zip to this post, along with both zips and the License.txt from inside KNL_402_Sources.zip.

Hope that helps.

The files you posted worked fine.  I don't know why they don't work off their website.

Thank You.
