this seems like its going to be a ton of fun.  I've already entered this anual compo at least twice in the past and im definately going to do it again.  It would be awesome if a PB game won.  Here is the official announcement from the 72 hour compo board...

QuoteIt's time for the 5th 72 Hour Game Development competition! Before the competition begins, participants vote on a desired theme for a game. After the voting is finished, the theme is released and teams have a tight 72 hour deadline to develop the best game possible. The competition is very informal, and everyone has a lot of fun. This time around, the competition starts on Friday, July 29th. For more information on rules, participation, etc, please visit http://www.finalredemption.com/72hourgdc/board/ or http://www.72hourcompo.com.

I request that everyone post this in as many places as you know of to spread the word out. Post here the places you're telling so that we don't spam a site.

I'm going to tell gamedev.net and the gamecompo.com mailing list.

Cheers,
--Brian

From "General" to "Beginners". I guess because the latter is visible for guests as well, while General is for registered members only.
Might as well make it sticky while I'm here.
