CoronaVirus Progress In Australia  - Social Distancing and more Testing needed  -  (29th March 2020)

It would seem that social distancing and mass closures are placing downward pressures on our mounting rates of infection.  This is a good thing, flattening the curve has become the buzz word of 2020, or at least we hope so.

The more I think about the situation now and the scale of our government efforts in recent weeks, ranging from mass redundancy through to socializing the work force.  We're effectively chasing our own tails in the hope of organically beating an invisible combatant into extinction..   Is this possible ??  Yeah.. if we all stand still for long enough, we could eradicate it in the short term...

The problem is that segregating ourselves, is that it isn't a long term solution. We need to routinely test the population, hot spot by hot spot.     Too difficult ?  Too Expensive ??  Probably, But, they've spent 200 billion in the _first_ round of precautions to prevent social distress (Job Keeper),  offsetting debts & broadening the social security net.     All good things, but that's $8000 (200billion / 25million) per soul  in the country of debt.   What does a test cost ?  20$ / 50$ / 100$...    ?

If testing could be administered on a regular basis,  normal life could return..

  I know, I know....  wishful thinking ... :)

Escaping The Curve  -  Australia - (15th April 2020)

Expressed here are just the rambling thoughts of one simple man.   Covering our current handling and probable exit strategy from covid19.

When I recorded this  (the night of 14/15th April)  I was merely spit balling that one option might be using tracking app's on mobile phones.  Little did I know, this would in fact be confirmed, that yes indeed, our government are looking to roll such a product out...

Can we escape this ?  I've no idea...

CovidSafe - The Invisible Code (28th April 2020)

Infections are down and the curve virtually slayed, so the Australian government looks to go on the offence by introducing a new digital carrot out of lockdown, Covidsafe.   Functionality details were sketchy upon the initial announcement, way back on the 15th of April, but one thing was assured, this new app would be open source.     Waving away any potential privacy concerns, so we the Australia public, can trust in our governments new found transparency.

Today it's four weeks later..  and still, __NO___ source code..
